Aizawl: Assam Rifles foil drug smuggling attempt in Mizoram. Assam Rifles officials confiscated 295.28 grams of narcotics valued at Rs 2.06 crore in Champhai, Mizoram. According to an official statement from Assam Rifles, two individuals, including a Myanmar national, have been apprehended in connection with the incident.
The accused were arrested following a tip-off received by Assam Rifles and the Excise and Narcotics Department in Champhai. Officials have confirmed that the accused are now in custody and will face further legal proceedings. Assam Rifles has announced plans to intensify security checks in the region in the coming days.
