New Delhi: The advertisement campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in Mizoram and Chhattisgarh is set to conclude today. In Chhattisgarh, the campaign concludes in 20 constituencies, where the first phase of polling is scheduled to take place.
Chhattisgarh is gearing up for assembly elections in two phases, with voting set for November 7 and 17. Meanwhile, Mizoram is also preparing for elections on November 7 to elect 40 members to the Legislative Assembly. In anticipation of these elections, security measures have been intensified in both states.
Political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), Mizo National Front (MNF), and Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), have actively campaigned in Mizoram. The BJP is striving to regain power in Chhattisgarh, while the Congress seeks to secure the administration’s succession. The last assembly elections in these states were conducted in 2018.
