Kottayam: In a tragic incident, Joel Joseph (27), a resident of Alummoottil, was fatally stabbed in Inchiyani, Mundakayam, around eight o’clock in the morning. Joel was working in a coffee plantation when his neighbor, Bijoy, allegedly stabbed him. Despite the efforts of another neighbor who rushed Joel to the hospital upon hearing his screams, his life could not be saved.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and took Bijoy into custody. The motive behind the accused’s actions remains unclear, and further investigation and questioning are pending. Joel’s body is currently at Mary Queen’s Hospital, twenty-sixth mile, Kanjirapally, and will be released to the family following post-mortem procedures.
