Thiruvananthapuram: The downward trend in gold prices persisted in the state today, with a slight decline observed in the market. The price of one sovereign of gold decreased by Rs 8, settling at Rs 44,432. The price per gram of gold experienced a decrease of Rs 1, now standing at Rs 5,554.
The price difference in the international gold market is reflected in the price in the state.
The price of silver remained unchanged. The rate stands at Rs 76 per gram for ordinary silver. The market price of hallmark silver is Rs 103 per gram.
