Incident of stabbing youth to death in Kottayam; accused’s house set on fire

Kottayam: The residence of the accused, who fatally stabbed a youth in Inchiyani, Mundakayam, was set on fire. The house of neighbor Bijoy, the accused in the stabbing of Joel Joseph in Alummoottil, was the target of the arson.

The incident occurred last night. Authorities are investigating the arson and seeking those responsible. The accused’s family members allege that locals set the house ablaze. However, locals claim that the house was set ablaze by Bijoy’s relatives, fearing public outrage.

Bijoy allegedly stabbed his neighbor Joel Joseph (27) near his residence, sparking significant public outrage in the area. Joel’s funeral was scheduled for today (Nov 12) when the accused’s house was set on fire.
