Thiruvananthapuram: The police conducted a state-wide raid the previous day, targeting individuals involved in the collection and distribution of child sexual images in the cyberworld. The operation, named P-Hunt, resulted in the arrest of numerous suspects. A total of 10 individuals were arrested during the course of the raid.
The police carried out inspections in various districts across the state, resulting in the arrest of individuals involved in such activities. In the course of Operation P-Hunt, a total of 389 centres were inspected, leading to the registration of 46 cases. The police confiscated 123 electronic devices that were allegedly used in the collection and dissemination of images.
The arrests were carried out across the state, with one arrest each in Alappuzha and Ernakulam Rural, two each in Idukki and Kochi City, and four in Malappuram.
