Thrissur: An incident of a wild elephant attack occurred in the Athirappilly plantation area. The house of plantation worker Sreeja was partially demolished in the attack, that happened at 2 am today. Sreeja and her son hurriedly fled through the back door to escape the sudden elephant attack.
This isn’t the first instance of such an attack in the region. Previously, there have been incidents of wild elephant attacks in the plantation area, resulting in damage to farms and houses
