Kochi: In a suspected case of food poisoning, ten people have been hospitalized in Ernakulam after consuming ‘Kuzhimanthi,’ a dish from Kerala. The incident occurred last night when they fell ill with symptoms of food poisoning after eating Kuzhimanthi from ‘Pathira Kozhi,’ a hotel located in Kalamassery. They sought medical attention due to abdominal pain, vomiting, and physical discomfort, and subsequently were admitted to Ernakulam General Hospital.
The police have stated that the individuals receiving treatment are in stable condition. Both the health department and the police are conducting investigations into the hotel. A case has been filed by the police, initiating a thorough inquiry.
