Attack on doctor at Thrissur Medical College Hospital    

Thrissur: A doctor at Thrissur Medical College Hospital was subjected to an attack by a young man. The incident happened last night. According to reports, a young man, allegedly intoxicated, came to the hospital and assaulted the doctor. He also attacked an employee who tried to intervene.

Sources said that the young man kicked the door of the observation room in the emergency department, gaining entry to the room where he proceeded to beat up the doctor and the staff. An employee stated that the doctor was punched in the neck and subjected to a beating. The staff also reported that he caused panic inside the hospital for an extended period.
