Pathanamthitta: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of police has been suspended for creating a terror situation during Sabarimala Thiruvabharanam procession . The official has been identified as Jess Joseph of Armed Reserve Police camp in Pathanamthitta. The District Police Chief took this action based on a preliminary investigation report by the AR Camp assistant commandant M C Chandrasekharan.
According to reports, the accused official, assigned to guard the Thiruvabharanam procession, allegedly created ruckus while on duty and ran away when the police attempted to take him for a medical test on suspicion of being drunk. The Ranni police have also launched a probe into the incident.
