New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut expressed her gratitude towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership for nominating her as a candidate for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Mandi constituency, Himachal Pradesh.
Kangana conveyed her appreciation through X, stating, “My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janta party ( BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Loksabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Loksabha polls. I feel honoured and elated to officially join the party. I look forward to be a worthy karyakarta and a reliable public servant. Thanks.”
The BJP released its fifth list of candidates yesterday, featuring 111 individuals. Renowned actor Arun Govil, well-known for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the television series ‘Ramayana,’ will be contesting from the Meerut constituency of Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Rekha Patra, who was the victim of the Sandeshkhali case, will be contesting for the BJP from Basirhat constituency, West Bengal.
