Kolkata: In the Calcutta High Court Bar Association elections, it was a major setback for the Trinamool Congress, after the Bharatiya Janata Party- led panel won the polls.
Of the total 15 seats, BJP won eight, Trinamool Congress four, Congress two and an independent candidate won one.
Independent candidate Ashok Kumar Dhandhania won the President’s post. BJP secured two positions with Ajay Chaubey for the Vice-president’s post and Dhiraj Kumar Trivedi, Secretary of the bar association.
