New Delhi: Coronavirus cases in India surged to 70,756 after 3,604 more cases reported in the last 24 hours said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday.
46,008 patients are active cases while 22,454 patients have been discharged/ cured.
A total of 87 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 2,293.
As per the ministry, Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases with 23,401 and 868 deaths have been reported in the state.
