New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday announced a major package of Rs 1 lakh crore Agri Infrastructure Fund for farm-gate infrastructure for farmers.
In a move to strengthen infrastructure in agriculture, financing facility of Rs. 1 lakh crore will be provided for funding Agriculture Infrastructure Projects at farm-gate & aggregation points (Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies, Farmers Producer Organisations, Agriculture entrepreneurs, Start-ups etc.)
Fund will be created immediately.
