New Delhi : Central Government has come up with the instruction to exclude child locks from cars from next year. The new proposal is made as this facility is widely misused in crime against women.
The child lock in the car has been a curse for women who are held captive or abused in cars. With the ban of child lock the driver will lose facility to lock the back doors.
Previous Government had demanded the automakers to avoid child lock and imply normal lock. The Government also proposed to install the such locks in vehicles through dealerships.
