Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to address a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and Senate in the United States Congress on June 22. This invitation, extended by the leaders of the US Congress, is considered one of the highest honours bestowed upon foreign dignitaries by Washington.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries jointly conveyed the invitation to Prime Minister Modi. In the letter, they expressed their eagerness to hear PM Modi’s vision for India’s future and his perspective on the global challenges faced by both nations.

The address by Prime Minister Modi to the joint meeting of Congress is seen as a significant milestone, highlighting the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between the United States and India. It serves as a testament to the close diplomatic ties and growing collaboration in various fields between the two nations.
