Rozgar Mela: PM Modi will hand out appointment letters to 70,000 youths

Thiruvananthapuram: The sixth edition of Rozgar Mela will be held today. Through a video conference scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ceremony. Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister will hand over appointment letters to 70,000 deserving youths. Additionally, several Union ministers will also be participating in regional-level functions.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India, will be present at the Rozgar Mela in Thiruvananthapuram. He will address the function being held at the Thampanoor wedding hall and subsequently distribute appointment orders to the selected candidates.

Rozgar Mela has been organised as part of the central government’s policy to provide employment to 10 lakh youth across various sectors. Thus far,five job fairs have been successfully organised, leading to the appointment of approximately 350,000 young individuals in central services. The fair has been organised jointly by the departments of Defence, Health and Family Welfare,Energy, and Railways.
