Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government used bulldozers to destroy the homes of all the accused who were involved in thrashing Dalits and forcing them to wear garland of slippers. The incident occurred at Shivapuri.

The accused whose houses were demolished are Asmath Khan, Vakeel Khan, Arif Khan, Shahid Khan, Islam Khan, Riza Bano, and Saino Bano.

Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Narottam Mishra, said that the incident of attack against Dalits is a shame on humanity. The accused Ajmal, Arif, and Shaheed have been arrested. The accused will be charged under the National Security Act.

The incident occurred on June 30 under the Narwar Police Station limits at Varkhandi village. Two Dalit youths were thrashed after they were accused of theft. They were forced to wear slipper garland and dirt were smeared on their faces and stuffed into their mouth. Their clothes were also torn.

The police took case against seven accused on the complaints of the victims. The accused includes two women.
