Pune: The Pune Police have taken legal action against an individual identified as MA Mokheem, who is accused of making grave threats related to bomb blasts within India, financing terrorist organisations, and plotting the assassination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These alarming threats were posted on a Hinduism-focused website on August 6, prompting the website’s owner, Rahul Dudhane of Pune, to promptly report the matter to the Alankar police station.
Upon discovering the menacing comment while monitoring his website, Dudhane encountered the message that read, “I will plan serious bomb blast in India. I will be funding terrorist organizations…I will destroy the Hindu religion. I will kill Narendra Modi also.”
In response to Dudhane’s report, local authorities took swift action, registering a case against the individual under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Deputy Commissioner of Police Suhail Sharma (Zone III) confirmed the initiation of the case and assured ongoing investigation efforts. Sharma noted that the IP address linked to the comment appeared to originate from outside of India, thereby prompting a thorough inquiry into the matter.
This incident follows another recent threat made to the Maharashtra Mantralaya, the state administrative headquarters, where a caller issued a warning of a forthcoming terrorist attack. Mumbai Police swiftly apprehended the caller, identified as a 61-year-old individual named Prakash Kishanchand Khemani, averting any potential harm.
