New Delhi: Punjab Police stopped the attempt to raise a tricolor flag at the home of Khalistani extremist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. The police arrested Gursimran Mand, the National President of the International Anti-Khalistani Terrorist Front, for attempting to hoist the flag.
Police state’s that attempting to raise the Indian flag at the residence of the leader of an infamous terrorist group cannot be permitted. “Considering the law and order situation, we stopped people from reaching Gurpatwant Singh Pannu’s house. No one is staying in that house except a caretaker,’’ the police said.
Meanwhile, Gursimran Mand stated that it’s not appropriate to prohibit raising the tricolor flag in India. He emphasized that even if he goes abroad, he will still hoist the tricolor at Pannu’s house. Holding the tricolor in their hands, Mand and his followers chanted slogans against Khalistan and Pannu before being arrested.
