New Delhi: A Kenyan youth has been apprehended at the Delhi airport in possession of cocaine valued at ₹17 crore. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) led the investigation that led to the arrest and recovery. This incident follows the earlier detention of a Kenyan woman in Mumbai, where she was apprehended while attempting to procure narcotics.
Initially, during the questioning phase, the individual denied any involvement; however, subsequent inspection of his belongings revealed the presence of cocaine. Approximately 1,698 grams of cocaine were confiscated from his possession, along with an air ticket bound for Mumbai.
Subsequently, as part of the ongoing investigation, another Kenyan woman was apprehended in the Vasai region of Mumbai while attempting to engage in drug-related activities. Authorities are currently delving deeper into the matter as they continue to gather more information about the incident.
