The tremor occurred at a depth of approximately 70 kilometers below the Earth’s surface. Fortunately, no significant damage or casualties have been reported as a result of the seismic event due to its distance from populated areas and its relatively low intensity.
Officials from the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the central government’s agency responsible for monitoring earthquakes and earthquake-prone regions in India, confirmed the occurrence of the earthquake.
