The 76th anniversary of Jammu and Kashmir’s merge to the Indian Union was celebrated in grand style by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. An airshow was organized with the active participation of the Air Force, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebratory program. The Jammu Air Force Station is also celebrating its diamond jubilee year.
“It’s the first time we’re witnessing an Air Force airshow in Jammu. I’m incredibly excited to see it live,” exclaimed one enthusiastic spectator at the event. The program was a collaborative endeavor involving Jammu Tourism, the Jammu District Administration, and the Information Department.
The airshow featured captivating performances by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, helicopters, the Air Warrior Drill Team, and the Akashganga Daredevil Skydiving Team. To further elevate the festivities commemorating Jammu and Kashmir’s merger day, there was also a concert by the Air Force Music Band.
The program’s overarching goal is to motivate the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to consider a career in the Indian Air Force. Air Force officials emphasized that the airshow serves as an educational platform, enlightening the audience about the critical importance of aviation safety.
