Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has reportedly sanctioned Y Plus security for Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan in response to threats to his life. This security detail ensures that wherever the superstar travels within the country, a contingent of security forces will accompany him. The decision follows alleged death threats against Khan after his films “Pathan” and “Jawaan” were released.
According to police sources, six trained commandos from the state police’s VIP security wing will be assigned to safeguard Shah Rukh Khan. Additionally, four armed police officers are already stationed at the actor’s residence as part of the security arrangement.
It is revealed that the intelligence department received information about credible threats against Shah Rukh Khan’s life.
The Y Plus security category is not uncommon in the Indian film industry, with actor Salman Khan previously receiving similar protection after threats were issued by the Lawrence Bishnoi group.
