Chennai: A teacher was stabbed by a female student while attempting to molest her at knifepoint. A 30-year-old teacher attempted to molest a student by wielding a knife, and the student fought back using the same weapon. The teacher, identified as Sakthidasan, a native of Alagiri Nagar, Dharmapuri, was seriously injured and is currently receiving medical treatment.
The incident occurred at a NEET exam training centre when Sakthidasan tried to molest the student as she approached him to purchase a book related to her studies. Undeterred by the knife threat, the student grabbed the knife from him and stabbed him in the abdomen. She had escaped from the place. She also sustained minor injuries.
The staff of the lodge heard the noise and discovered Sakthidasan lying in a pool of blood. The Salem Azhagapuram police have registered a case against Sakthidasan and are in the process of taking him into custody directly from the hospital. He is currently undergoing medical treatment at Salem Medical College.
