New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar embarked on a five-day official visit to the United Kingdom on Saturday, aimed at reviewing various dimensions of bilateral relations. The discussions in London are expected to include preparations for the potential visit of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to Bharat in the coming months.

“External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be on an official visit to the United Kingdom from November 11-15,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said. Bharat and the UK have a growing bilateral partnership.

During his visit, Jaishankar will engage in discussions with his counterpart, Foreign Secretary Sir James Cleverly, and meet with various dignitaries. The discussions will likely touch upon the Bharat-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, launched in 2021, and the India-UK Roadmap 2030, which aims to expand collaboration in diverse areas.

Earlier on November 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his UK counterpart Sunak delved into the progress of the Free Trade Agreement during a telephonic conversation.
