Indian Railways introduces special Vande Bharat trains ahead of annual festive season

Chennai: In a bid to alleviate the travel concerns of train passengers during the Christmas holidays, the Southern Railway has unveiled a special Vande Bharat trains service on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysore route.

Mysore-Chennai Special Vande Bharat (06038): The special service, scheduled for December 6, 13, 20, and 27, is set to ease the journey for commuters. Departing from Mysore at 1:05 pm, the train is expected to reach Bengaluru at 2:40 pm, Katpadi at 5:33 pm, and finally, Chennai Central at 7:20 pm. This route will see a total of five services, providing flexibility for travellers.

Chennai Central-Bengaluru-Mysore Special Vande Bharat (06037): On the same dates, December 6, 13, 20, and 27, the train will depart from Chennai Central at 5:50 am. It is scheduled to arrive at Mysore Junction by 12:30 pm, making stops at Katpadi at 7:13 am and KSR Bengaluru city railway station at 10:10 am. This

Notably, the Chennai-Mysore Vande Bharat is covering a distance of 600 km in just six hours and 30 minutes. The introduction of these special trains aligns with the proactive approach of Indian Railways to manage the anticipated surge in passengers during the festive season.
