Chennai: Tamil Nadu continues to grapple with the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung, with several areas in Chennai still facing severe waterlogging. The impact of the floods extends beyond the common residents to even celebrities, as evidenced by a viral video showcasing film actor Rajinikanth’s residence surrounded by floodwaters.
The released video depicts a substantial water puddle outside Rajinikanth’s house in the Poes Garden area of Chennai. The presence of waterlogged streets is expected to pose challenges for traffic in the vicinity.

Rajinikanth had earlier extended his support to the flood victims by donating Rs 10 crore. Additionally, he made contributions to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, emphasising the actor’s commitment to aiding recovery efforts in the aftermath of the cyclone.
Several other notable figures from the film industry have also stepped forward to contribute to the relief efforts. Renowned actor Shah Rukh Khan had previously donated a significant amount, and actor Suriya, along with his brother Karthi, contributed Rs 10 lakh as the initial installment towards supporting those affected by the floods.
Meanwhile, Actor ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay has directed his fan organisation, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, to engage in relief efforts in areas affected by the floods. Members of the organisation are actively involved in preparing and distributing food to those facing a significant shortage of essential supplies.
