Chandigarh: The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Chinese-made drone that entered Bharat. The drone was shot down in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab, an area bordering Pakistan. Security forces discovered 523 grams of banned drugs from the drone.
The recovery was the result of a joint effort by Punjab Police officials and the BSF. The drone was located around 11:30 pm on Saturday on a farm at Mari Kamboke in Tarn Taran village.
This comes in the wake of extensive drug smuggling activities from Pakistan through the Punjab border. The winter season has witnessed an increase in nighttime drug trafficking facilitated by drones.
