Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has officially declared a holiday for all government institutions on  ‘Prana Pratishtha’ day in Ayodhya’s Ram temple. As part of the announcement, government offices will remain closed until 2.30 p.m. on January 22nd. Concurrently, the Rajasthan government has also declared a holiday, effective until noon.

Meanwhile, the Central Government has officially sanctioned a half-day holiday on January 22, 2024, effective until 2:30 PM. This directive encompasses all central government offices, central institutions, and central industrial establishments throughout the nation. The rationale behind this decision is to encourage people to participate in the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya’s Ram temple, providing an opportunity for devotees to engage in the auspicious event.

Furthermore, the Union Finance Department has issued a notification, reinforcing the decision to close all offices until 2.30 p.m. on the designated day. This measure is aimed at facilitating the participation of employees in the momentous celebrations of Ayodhya’s ‘Prana Pratishtha’ day.
