New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a proactive step to address the proliferation of fake social media handles misusing its name and logo on X. With the aim to prevent misinformation, CBSE has released a list of nearly 30 X handles that impersonate the Board and emphasised that its only official account on X was ‘@cbseindia29’.
“It has come to notice of Central Board of Secondary Education that the following handles have been found to be using the na,me and/or logo of CBSE, witha view to mislead the general public on X (formely Twitter),” the board said in its latest notification.
CBSE has reassured the public that appropriate actions are being taken against these fraudulent social media handles.
In an official notice, the Board cautioned the public to follow only the verified and authentic handle ‘@cbseindia29’ for accurate information related to CBSE.
