New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his vision to position Bharat as a global export hub during the inauguration of Bharat Tex 2024 on Monday, a global textile event held at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam.
Emphasizing the significance of the event, the Prime Minister highlighted its role in showcasing Bharat’s diverse textile market and fostering collaboration within the industry. He underscored the urgent need for infrastructure expansion to support this ambitious goal.
Bharat Tex 2024 serves as a platform to exhibit the rich handloom and handicraft traditions of states such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, state pavilions from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Assam will be featured, highlighting the vibrant textile ecosystems across Bharat.
The event will bring together key stakeholders, including textile manufacturers, artisans, designers, and policymakers, to explore avenues for collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth in the textile sector. With its diverse range of traditional and contemporary textiles, Bharat Tex 2024 provides a unique opportunity to showcase Bharat’s craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation on the global stage.
