Hyderabad: The test conducted by the Telangana State Food Laboratory has confirmed that Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chocolate was found to be unsafe.

The test report is based on the test conducted after a complaint from Robin Vinay Kumar Zaccheus, a resident of Hyderabad. Robin Vinay Kumar Zaccheus found worms in Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chocolates bought from Ratnadeep Metro Supermarket in Ameerpet, Hyderabad.

He also shared a video of white worms on the Dairy Milk chocolate through social media to draw attention to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). White worms were found in Cadbury’s Dairy Milk (Roasted Almond) and Cadbury’s Dairy Milk (Nuts and Fruits).

The Food Safety authorities took action by inspecting the supermarket and obtaining samples from the same batch implicated in the incident.

The chocolates were bought on February 9, when Robin Vinay Kumar Zaccheus took to social media to bring to light the flagrant violation of food safety norms. GHMC’s Food Safety officials took cognizance of the same and inspected the supermarket soon after, instructing the latter not to sell the merchandise with the same batch number.

Is there a quality check for these near to expiry products? Who is responsible for public health hazards? @DairyMilkIn @ltmhyd @Ratnadeepretail @GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC pic.twitter.com/7piYCPixOx
