Srinagar: Indian Army soldiers fired at a Pakistani drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday. The army discharged two dozen rounds in response to the drone’s presence. The action was prompted by intelligence suggesting the smuggling of arms and drugs into Bharat via drones.
Despite the army’s efforts, the drone managed to retreat to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after briefly hovering over Indian posts in the Mendhar and Krishna Ghati sectors. Following the incident, a search operation was initiated to prevent any unauthorized airdropping of weapons or narcotics.
