Idukki: Atleast four people were killed after a tempo traveler falls into a gorge in Mankulam, Adimali in Idukki. The deceased were identified as Abhinesh Murthy, a native of Theni, his one-year-old son Thanvik, Theni native Gunasekaran and Erode native PK Sethu.
The incident happened on yesterday (March 19) evening, when a tempo traveler carrying tourists from Tamilnadu fell into a 30-feet-deep gorge in Adimali’s Mankulam. The driver lost control and broke the roadside crash barrier and fell into the gorge.
According to reports, there were atleast 14 people inside the traveler and they had come for an excursion organised by a private pressure cooker company in Tamil Nadu. The injured were admitted to the Taluk Hospital in Adimali and later transferred to other hospitals.
