Thiruvananthapuram: Gold price have soared to an all-time high in the history of Kerala. Today’s price of gold per sovereign in the state stands at Rs 50,880. This comes after a substantial increase of Rs 680 in the rate of gold per sovereign. The price gold per gram has increased by Rs 85, and the price of a gram of gold is now standing at Rs 6,360.
Meanwhile, in the international market, the current price of one ounce of gold has reached $2238.49. Economists foresee a continued rise in the price of gold, attributing it to increased investor interest.
The difference in the exchange rate of the dollar has led to an increase in the price of gold in the international market. Though more people have begun to invest in gold, indications suggest that this will not necessarily be reflected in sales.
