Kannur: The investigation into the Kannur bomb blast has led to the detention of two more individuals, identified as Amal Babu and Mithun, by the police. Amal Babu is under interrogation for allegedly removing the bombs from the blast site, while Mithun is suspected of involvement in the bomb-making conspiracy. They have been interrogated by the police based on these findings.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to apprehend the two remaining suspects, who are currently absconding. The police have already arrested CPI (M) activists Athul, Arun, Shibin Lal, and Sayooj in connection with the incident. Vineesh, who sustained critical injuries in the blast, is currently hospitalized.

The explosion occurred during bomb-making activities in Kunnoth, Panoor, claiming the life of Sheril (31) . The Bomb Squad has conducted extensive inspections in various areas of Kannur, including Panoor,  Kolavallur, and Kuthuparamba. Similar inspections were carried out along the Kannur-Kozhikode border on Saturday.
