Idukki: In the wake of coronavirus, a temple in Kerala has come forward as a relief to the distressed people. The Sree Krishna Swami temple in Thodupuzha of Idukki district is an exemplary for feeding the poor, after the temple festival had to be postponed which was meant to be conducted in full swing.
The festival in the temple was scheduled on 16th of this month. However, due to the fear of coronavirus, the temple authorities cancelled the festival.
Although there is no crowd in the temple premises, some would go in the name of Lord to serve the poor. Their service is a huge relief to about 100 people everyday. Both lunch and dinner is provided to the needy.
The temple has been receiving a positive response from the society for postponing the festival and helping out the poor ones.
