Thiruvananthapuram: An acid attack on a woman in the wee hours of Saturday was reported. Following the incident, the police has arrested the victim’s former husband for committing the crime.
The incident took place in Mangalapuram of the capital city. The accused Vineesh poured acid on the woman by breaking the window glass panel at 3 am while she was asleep.
The victim has sustained 20 per cent burns and has been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
Vineesh has also been arrested by the police earlier on the complaint of the girl. According to reports, he has confessed the crime.
