Alappuzha: Cases of coronavirus have been confirmed to five health workers including a doctor in Cherthala Taluk Hospital. Among the five infected, two are nurses.
Earlier, a pregnant woman was diagnosed with the coronavirus who had sought treatment at the Taluk Hospital.
More health workers are likely to be diagnosed with the disease. Therefore, the municipal chairman has asked the district administration to close the Taluk Hospital.
