Kozhikode: BJP state president K Surendran has mocked at Minister K T Jaleel over the latter’s claim that he had contacted gold smuggling accused Swapna Suresh on the direction of the UAE Consulate General. KT Jaleel’s phone call was exposed in the call list with Swapna Suresh.
Mocking at Jaleel, Surendran asked that whether he spoke about the ‘food kit or gold kit’ over the phone with Swapna Suresh.
Surendran alleged that KT Jaleel did not disclose earlier that he knew Swapna and hid the fact of being in touch over the phone. So the statements made by minister KT Jaleel are confusing, said Surendran.
BJP state chief demanded that the minister should reveal the phone call records of two months to clarify the doubts.
Jaleel on Tuesday said that Kerala receives food kit from the UAE in connection with Ramadan. Due to lockdown, food kits could not be delivered to Kerala. And to talk on this matter, he had connected with Swapna Suresh.
