Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI’s mouthpiece ‘Janayugam’ has published an article criticizing the Pinarayi government under the headline ‘Hold high on Left politics’. Some have tried to bring in environmental destruction projects like Athirappilly by forgetting the manifesto of the Left government. However, it had to be opposed, said CPM state secretary, the author, K Prakash Babu.
The CPI was indirectly critical of Electricity Minister MM Mani. The big industrial lobbies, the resort sand mafia and the merchants are alien to the Left manifesto. People who have been complicit in treason or who have directly or indirectly protected the traitors, no matter how high they are, should not be allowed to escape even through loopholes in the law, says the Janayugam.
Some are trying to minimize the real crime by portraying it as just a tale about a gold shop in Kerala. Gold smugglers commission young men and women to influence positions of power. Such people are being held in key positions under the guise of foreign consultancies and contracts. Realize the modern day Marichans (demon in the epic Ramayana), that comes with paper projects.
The article indirectly criticizes the Chief Minister and his office, which also handles the IT department. The CPI also openly criticized Minister KT Jaleel. They have demanded an inquiry into misuse of protocols for contacting the foreign consulate.
The article ends by saying that those who smuggle gold for treason and terrorist activities are an insult to enlightened Kerala.
