Kochi: In a latest finding, it is reported that the gold smuggling has got nexus with IS Kerala unit sleeping cells. Their secret Instagram and telegram groups have now deactivated after the NIA launched an investigation.
Janam TV had earlier exposed details along with footage of such proscribed Islamic State groups.
As the probe advanced to find further illegal links with gold smuggling, the involvement of the sleeping cells of the IS Kerala unit got exposed. Earlier, Janam TV had reported on Islamic State Kerala’s telegram and Instagram groups calling for bloody riots in the country. These groups, which are controlled by the sleeping cells became inactive after the NIA launched an investigation into the gold smuggling case.
The IS sleeping cells that used to handle the fund received through smuggling, have withdrawn from such social media platforms. The anti-national activities were carried out through Instagram-Telegram accounts such as the Gold Dinar.
Most of their social media posts targeted Delhi and Kashmir Police. They were also promoting online terror channels.
While the intelligence department is collecting information about this, the investigation into the gold smuggling moved towards such groups.
