Thiruvananthapuram: The state today witnessed the record highest single day jump of 7,006 cases of coronavirus. At the same time 3,199 recovered.
The capital city recorded the most number of cases with 1,050 followed by Malappuram 826, Ernakulam 729, Kozhikode 684, Thrissur 594, Kollam 589, Palakkad 547, Kannur 435, Alappuzha 414, Kottayam 389, Pathanamthitta 329, Kasaragod 224, Idukki 107 and Wayanad 89.
21 more fatalities were reported today thus taking the death toll to 656.
Of these confirmed cases, 68 arrived from abroad while 177 from other states. 6004 people infected through contact.
