Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram: K Surendran asked whether the CPM central leadership had the courage to investigate the illegal assets of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

He said that Pinarayi Vijayan has crossed all the barriers than even Lalu Prasad Yadav in the scam and turned all the schemes of the state government as a way for him and his family to secure money.

Surendran was speaking after participating in a state-wide agitation organized by the BJP demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

“Pinarayi Vijayan has already started a move to weaken the protests. The police deployment in front of the Secretariat is similar to that of an emergency. Pinarayi Vijayan’s delusion that he can stay in power through trickery will not happen,” BJP leader warned.

The BJP had organized a network of protests from Manjeswaram to Parassala on Kerala’s foundation day demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

MLA O Rajagopal and VV Rajesh led the strike in Thiruvananthapuram. National Vice President AP Abdullakutty was present in Ernakulam and senior leaders PK Krishnadas and CK Padmanabhan were present in Kasaragod and Kannur districts.
