Thiruvananthapuram : Pinarayi Government’s vengeance takes another leap. Hindus have “Pula/Valaima” (the family members after the death of somebody restrict themselves from attending to Marriages, visiting temples for a particular period) stretching for an year said devaswom Minister in his face book post. Many people replied to the post stating the content is wrong. Kanjangad Madiyan Koolom Kshetrapaalaka Temple’s traditional chief priest T Madhavan Namboothiri also replied to the post stating that the minister’s share is invalid. T Madhavan Namboothiri was suspended from his duties against which protest is gaining more strength.
BJP State Secretary K Surendran has “Pula” because its not yet one year after his mother’s death, claimed Kadakampalli Surendran. Many people with the sense of the culture replied that “Pula/Valaima” last for 16-41 days not for a period of an year, The chief priest also said the same and he was suspended from his duties.
