Panthalam:This is the statement of Akhila, daughter of the Ayyappa devotee Chandran Unnithan who was brutally killed by CPM stone pelting last evening. The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, even before the primary postmortem report was out, told that the cause of death is due to heart attack and not because of head injuries.

Akhila revealed that her father, who was a farmer, never had serious diseases and asked how could CM say that the death is due to heart failure.

‘ My father has been brutally killed by pelting stones from CPM Party office. My father did not have any health issues. Does the CM unaware of the matter? Is the CM stands for killing others? You will kill everyone in this state’ said Akhila.

Chandran Unnithan got injured while taking part in Sabarimala Karmasamithy’s protest against breach of rituals in Sabarimala. CPM activists pelted stones at Chandran Unnithan from the top floor of CPM office. Chandran was taken to hospital with grave injuries but could not save his life. Vijayamma, wife of Chandran Unnithan had alleged that police had not taken any steps to avoid attacks and both Police and CPM are acting upon planned operations.
