NSS Gen. Sec rubbishes CPI(M) claim of having support of majority Nairs

Pathanamthitta: Nair Service Society General Secretary, G. Sukumaran Nair lashed out at CPI(M) State Secretary, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan for claiming that the Communist Party had the support of a majority of the members of NSS.

The NSS leader has also come out strongly against the communist leader’s statement that the party did not view the Nair organisation as its enemy. The NSS leader said that the organisation has members belonging to all the major political parties in the state and also members who are above party politics. This makes the CPI(M) Secretary’s claim of support of the majority members as hollow.

G. Sukumaran Nair stated that NSS does not follow the culture of opportunism and termed as “illogical” the statement of Kodiyeri that the communist party does not see NSS as the enemy.

He also said that Kodiyeri and his party workers have no moral right to criticize NSS and asked the party leader to refrain from political lecturing to NSS.

He reminded that NSS had never interfered in the internal issues of political parties.
