Ernakulam: A huge fire broke out at the Kakkanad IT Park in a multistoried building yesterday evening. Three persons who were trapped in the building have been rescued. The fire force has brought the fire under control. It is believed that a short circuit had caused the fire.
The fire broke out at Geo Info Park at the Kakkanad Kinfra Park. It was feared that more people might be trapped in the building. 15 units of fire force were pressed into service and controlled the fire from spreading.
Officials including District Collector reached the spot and assessed the situation. One fire force employee and three other employees sustained minor injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital.
