KOLLAM: It is reported that Sandeep who was arrested for the murder of Dr Vandana at Taluk hospital in Kottarakara, had sent the video of his treatment captured on his mobile phone to the WhatsApp group of school teachers. He had sent the video to two WhatsApp groups. This was found by district Crime Branch team with the help of Cyber Cell.
Sandeep’s phone will be sent for scientific examination to Forensic Lab in Thiruvananthapuram. The collection of evidence continued yesterday as part of the probe. The statements of Sandeep’s relatives and neighbours were recorded yesterday.
The Crime Branch team also found that case has been registered against Sandeep in Pooyapally police station for drunk driving. The probe team will submit an application in the court today to get Sandeep into custody. DySP MM Jose is in charge of investigation.
